“Irregular cycle?”
I had unprotected sex and after a few weeks, my breasts were sore and a bit swollen. After a few days, I got my periods so I'm not sure if it was a miscarriage or normal menstruation although I did a urine test and it came out negative. (normally I have irregular cycles)

Well, you could do yet another pregnancy test to be absolutely sure. Breast tenderness before menses is not unusual. If it were a miscarriage, the pregnancy test would have been positive.
Sounds like an irregular cycle if pregnancy test was negative. Consult your Doctor if it continues
It does not sound like you were pregnant. Using birth control pills is a good idea if you want to conceive.
