In answer to your question, is Invisalign more painful than braces? I would definitely say the answer is no. I have personally gone through Invisalign myself, and although you do have some discomfort and soreness as the teeth are moving, it would not be considered painful. Metal braces have wires and brackets that often time cause more discomfort on the cheeks and lips due to the roughness. Using Invisalign illuminates the pain that is often associated with metal braces causing ulcerations on the cheeks and lips.
