I am a 45 year old female. I want to know if a CT scan without contrast is effective?

For many things it's sensitive without contrast like a kidney stone. For many things like a mass lesion the sensitivity is much higher with IV contrast. Oral contrast that you drink shows the bowel much better than without contrast.
Depends on what the CT is for. Some need contrast or will not be diagnostic.
