Acupuncture can be really helpful at treating cirrhosis of the liver depending on the stage of the pathology. Along with herbal and other medical treatments the outcome is favorable.
Where as acupuncture can help with some of the nausea and other side effects of liver cirrhosis it is unable to directly address the condition itself.
Good afternoon, 1. Noted, thank you. 2. Cirrhosis can be caused by numerous reasons, acupuncture can treat most of the causes but talk to your family doctor or acupuncture practitioner before you start the treatment. 3.
Yes, I have attached the research for your review.

Thank you for your question. Acupuncture is effective at reducing inflammation and increasing circulation as well as releasing endorphins, enkephalins, and naturally stimulating the opioid receptors in the brain. It can assist with pain management and boost the bodys capabilities to fight infections and heal itself. In the case of cirrhosis, it is most effective in conjunction with western medical approaches and healthy lifestyle habits. I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any other questions. - Dr. Hallie OGorman
I dont think you can deal with cirrhosis with acupuncture effectively. Your goal is to stop the progression. Diet and liver remedies are your best bet. Https:fortifyhealth.com
Acupuncture with herbs, and sometimes massage, could help you out gradually with your liver cirrhosis.

Yes, acupuncture can help with cirrhosis, but I usually combine it with the other legs of Oriental Medicine, namely herbs and diet. I have found that most cirrhosis can be controlled or eliminated by becoming gluten free. But I would definitely recommend finding a practitioner near you and getting in to see them. Good luck!!
Acupuncture is good for cirrhosis if you have early liver cirrhosis. Chronic liver cirrhosis still can be treated with acupuncture.
Much will depend on what, exactly, you're looking for from treatment. Acupuncture can help with fluid issues (ascites or fluid accumulation in the abdomen is a common problem in cirrhosis). Acupuncture can sometimes help with liver enzymes or pancreas/spleen issues that result from liver cirrhosis. Is acupuncture going to reverse the cirrhosis? Unlikely.
This is a case where you're going to want to combine care - a good L.Ac. can supplement your primary care provider.
