“Is confusion normal after anesthesia?”
My father underwent shoulder surgery a couple of days ago. He was very confused when he regained consciousness, and is still somewhat confused a couple of days post-op. Is this a normal effect of the anesthesia?

Yes, very much so. May last up to a month.
