Is dental anesthesia OK when pregnant?

I am a 28 year old female. I want to know if dental anesthesia is OK when pregnant?

Most anesthetics are just fine
Dental anesthesia may involve just local anesthetic (which is considered completely safe) or sedation with the local anesthetic. While sedation is not considered by some to be completely safe, the truth is no one knows. In animal studies, high doses of some medications have been shown to cause birth defects at a given rate. In practical terms, it is very unlikely that normal anesthetic doses of medication would cause a problem. If you want to be completely safe you might wait until after delivery. Good luck!
Under a local anesthetic, dental anesthesia is safe for you while pregnant.  If conscious sedation is a consideration, you should consult with your obstetrician prior to receiving any IV medications.
Ideally, local injection to block the dental nerve is ideal. Definitely avoid benzodiazepine meds in first trimester.
