Inguinal hernia repair is a very common procedure, usually is done on an outpatient basis. Don’t worry! everything will be ok in your surgery

As a general rule, inguinal hernia surgery is not considered high risk, but depending on your other medical problems or the medications you take, it can be. You will have some discomfort for about a month after the surgery. As is the case with any kind of surgery, there are risks involved with anesthesia and complications that may arise during the operation. Your surgeon will go over the possible surgical complications and your anesthesiologist will go over the potential anesthetic complications prior to the surgery.
