I have a nicotine addiction and want to treat it. Is it hard to fix the nicotine addiction?

There are many approaches: nicotine patch, medication, hypnosis, and accupuncture.
It's all about determination. Setting an absolute goal helps. The 2 best ways is cold turkey or weekly reductions until you are done. I quit 10 years ago. It's an oral fixation, so in the beginning whenever you want a cigarette chew gum, distract yourself or eat a piece of candy
