Is it normal to have a fever after bone graft surgery?

I had bone graft surgery yesterday. I have a high fever today. Is it normal to have a fever after bone graft surgery?

Bone grafts, mini plates and screws can produce inflammatory response or may become infected. Any patient presenting with localized symptoms and/or fever should be suspected for possible graft infection or allergic reaction and appropriate radiographic and microbiological tests should be carried out.
Hi , this is not normal. Perhaps its due to dehydration or other reasons.

It is not uncommon to experience a little elevation in temperature following surgery. As everyone has a different opinion on temperature, I would first ask what was the specific temp measured and what was used to take the temperature. Different readings will result with different areas of the body as well as by different instruments.
No. Call your OMS and see them to see if your need antibiotics and/ or irrigation of the wound.
