Unfortunately, we still don't know a lot about the long term effects of COVID infection but stomach upset is one of them. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water, eating high fiber foods and getting daily exercise and hopefully your symptoms will slowly improve.
Abdominal pain and change in bowels are recognized symptoms of COVID infection. They usually go away in a few days.
Many patients with COVID have gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, or stomach pain. It is possible your stomach pain is a
sequelae of COVID. Your stomach pain may also be from other common causes such as stomach flu or food poisoning. I therefore suggest you get examined by your primary care physician. I wish you well with your health!
While there have been reports of gastrointestinal symptoms during and after COVID infection, stomach pain is never normal. Please see a gastroenterologist.
GI symptoms (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea) are very much a part of COVID-19 -- give it some time to resolve.
