It is not okay. Please wear your retainer as quick as you can for the next 48 hours to correct any unwanted tooth movement.

I've never gone 2 days without wearing my retainer. I can tell you this. If the retainer does go in properly, it will return the teeth to their rightful place. If the retainer doesn't go in, then you need to be retreated.
