you would be numb for the procedure. there may still be slight pain occasionally. but, most say it is painless when done by an endodontist.
Not really they give anesthesia and take out the nerve (root) then, usually on a nother visit, you get a post and core and a crown. Jim Kline CIO Marybeth Fasano DMD PC 984 First Colonial Rd. It should not be painful at all. First some topical, then some local anesthesia, possibly with a little pinch, and you will be comfortable during the procedure. Most patients are surprised how well it went!
That will typically depend on your pain tolerance, but our office does offer nitrous oxide and/or local anesthetic to help subside the pain.
The Dentist will give you an anesthetic injection on the tooth and gums. You may still feel some discomfort because the nerve in the tooth may be inflamed. Nevertheless once the nerve is removed the rest of the procedure is no more discomforting than any dental restorative procedure. Not getting the endodontics may lead to even more pain as the inflammation may spread to other parts of the skull and/or jaw, even to the point of being life threatening. Dentist
It is not painful if the Doctor gets the area fully numb. All you should feel is vibrations and pressure. *Bishop Family Dental* Phone: 801-274-2500
