“Is it pool water or a STD that’s making it burn when I urinate?”
Hi, I’ve experienced increasing urinary pain since my trip to a public wave pool 4 days ago and I didn’t shower till long after.
Started with a stinging sensation, now it’s burning when peeing at the tip/under the tip of the penis. I've considered it being chlamydia but there are no other symptoms besides burning at the tip and sensitivity at the tip. Also, my partner and I haven’t had intercourse since days before the pool.
Question is this more a reaction to the public pool water or more likely to be an STD?

The best way to tell if there is truly an Infection is to get a urine and/or urethral culture. It’s more likely it’s a local irritation due to the pool
It could be a Urine infection more than an STD. Chlorine won’t burn for 4 days. I recommend a Urine test
