“Is it safe to take 2000mg of Aptiom a day?”
My son has partial complex seizures - is it safe to take 2000mg of Aptiom a day, 1000 in AM and again in the PM?

Action starting dosage for adults would be 400 to 800 mg a day, and for long-term use 800 to 1600 mg a day. Children’s dosing is usually based on weight, and the amount in the blood stream, a “blood level.” So, a total of 200 mg/d should be okay. Unless he is less than 4 years old or is very light weight for his age.
