“Is juice fasting safe?”
I want to lose weight and have been wanting to try out the juice fast. Is it safe? Are there any risk?

Juice fasting, also known as a juice cleanse, involves consuming only fruit and vegetable juices for a period of time, often with the aim of detoxifying the body, losing weight, or improving health.
Juice fasting can be safe in the short term for healthy individuals, but it may not provide balanced nutrition for the long term. If you're looking for detoxification or weight loss, it's generally better to adopt a more balanced, sustainable approach that includes a wide variety of whole foods, adequate protein, and healthy fats. Always check with a healthcare provider before embarking on a juice fast, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions.

I would not recommend it. Juicing has no fiber which helps slow down the spike in your blood glucose. Continued spikes in blood sugar is a potential risk for developing prediabetes/diabetes. If weight loss is your ultimate goal, assuming you're a healthy individual, burn more calories than you intake per day. I would suggest seeking a dietitian so plan what is best for you to meet your needs. Thank you for your question!
