Is mixing vaccines ok?

I received the Pfizer vaccine about 4 months ago, both doses. Yesterday I received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Should I be concerned about any severe side effects or perhaps negatively affecting the vaccine itself? I am taking a low dose BP medicine.

Receiving a booster shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine after you received 2 doses of the Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine is fine, and should not have any negative effect on the booster vaccine dose itself, and also not be of concern that this should be reason for a severe side effect.
You're okay.

Mixing Covid vaccines is not officially advised or approved, but there is no published evidence hat it is harmful. Quite the contrary, there is accumulating evidence that mixing vaccines may give an enhanced and broader and longer lasting immune response. There is no problem with any of the Covid vaccines and medications which people are often taking other immune suppressive medications. Such latter medication may interfere with a full immune response to any vaccine. Ask your physician if any of your medications might suppress your immune system.
