Yes
It can happen. It might be a good idea to take a full course of antibiotics if you are not already. Notify your doctor.
Yes, it is very common to have swelling after wisdom teeth removal. Swelling should start to go down after the first couple of days normally.

Healing after wisdom tooth extraction can occur in many ways. Swelling of the gum tissue is not unusual. Be sure to rinse with warm salt water rinses several times a day to keep the area clean. Any other concerns should be addressed by your American Dental Association Surgeon.

Yes, especially if the teeth were impacted and the surgery involved bone removal to extract the teeth. If the teeth were erupted and the procedure was considered routine or simple, then swelling may be a sign of infection. Check with your surgeon or dentist.

Yes. Should apply ice pack for the first 24 hours, 15 minutes on, 30 minutes off. After 24 hours, apply warm compress, 15 minutes on, 30 minutes off.
Yes swelling is very normal. It is a typical response after any surgery
Depending on the shape of the roots and how difficult the extraction was, some swelling is fairly common. It should start improving within a few days. Pain or swelling should not continue getting worse after a few days.
