Is warm water enough to remove excess oil?

I have combination skin which causes the skin underneath my eyebrows to become oily. I read online that excessive oil causes eyebrows to fall out. I wash my eyebrows when I wash my face however I have OCD which causes me to doubt that I washed them properly. I am wondering if warm water is enough to wash off the excess oil and prevent my eyebrow hairs from falling out due to excess oil.

Warm water is not enough. Try using a foaming cleanser and maybe even oil blotting papers through out the day. Also make sure you're staying hydrated and drinking enough water as being dehydrated can cause you to produce more oil than normal.
Hi,

Oil does not cause eyebrows to fall out, so don’t worry about it. Use foaming oil washes (i.e, Cetaphil foaming cleanser) twice daily to help wash and degrease the oily skin.
I hope this helps.

The most important thing is not to rub them over and over. Using an acne wash will help to reduce acne along with water. It is only recommended 1-2 x per day. I am okay with water as well. The main damage is from rubbing.
