Is wisdom teeth extraction safe under anesthetic?

I will have a wisdom tooth extraction under anestheic. I am worried. Is wisdom teeth extraction safe under anesthetic?

By under anesthetic I am presuming you mean you will be under either sedation or more likely you are referring to general anesthesia like in the operating room. Oral surgeons who do general anesthesia ,and I believe most do, have considerable training and regulation for its use. Now with those level of anesthesia there is always the risk of death even though very low. It is generally considered a safe procedure to use if necessary for removal of third molars.

It is for sure safe under a local anesthetic and if having sedation or a general anesthetic, make sure the dentist is anesthesia certified
What type of anesthetic? What is your general health? Your surgeon will go over your medical history and recommend anesthetic that is safe and appropriate for you, whether it is local anesthetic, sedation, or deeper anesthesia.
Yes it is safe unless the patient has some underlying heart conditions that require a different anesthetic, usually one with epinephrine.
