General Practitioner Questions Overdose

Liver pain after overdose

I had an overdose last week- overdosed twice, actually. One night I took 7 pills. The other night I took 8-9 or maybe 12 pills. I can't remember. I survived both and just been laying in bed all day, only getting up to do important things. I was very sick after both of those overdoses, very pale, my blood thinned, and I was yellow at some point too. My eyes were also yellow. Although this has gone away the past couple days- recently I started to have pain in my upper right abdomen, below the ribs. The pain also radiates to my right arm and sometimes feels like pain in my veins or something. I can't take deep breaths or lay a certain way because the pain in my right abdomen hurts a ton. It's not severe, but its sharp sometimes. And it gets worse by the day. I'm worried its acute liver failure. I bleed easily too. The question is, should I go to the ER tonight, or do I wait till the morning to go to the Primary care doctor?

My recommendation visit asap the ER for evaluation and possible treatments. Please try to go with some one or call 911.
You need a work-up at an internal medicine ward, unless your GP is internal medicine savvy. Your yellowness is a sign of liver failure, but your liver is apparently back up to speed, since it is gone again. The liver doesn't hurt, but the surrounding tissues do. If the pain continues, you should get an ultrasound exam to see if anything is visibly amiss.
If youre an too unstable to until the next morning, go to the nearest ED
