“My 7 year old son has been sick?”
He was just getting over the flu (at least we thought) so we sent him back to school after going to the hospital a day or two before. He spent 2 days at school and on the 2nd day he had a fever again. But now he is always throwing up and has very bad diarrhea it's like water now but at first it was like pudding. He couldn't control it, he has belly pain but he doesn't have a fever now im just really worried about him especially since he was sick with the flu for two weeks. We took him to the dr after about a week and a half because they didn't have any spots open until we took him 4 days ago and he seemed like he was 100% better but when he was given the flu test it came out that he had it so we kept him home from school the following day but that whole next day he seemed fine. He missed so much time already we brought him to school. The first day went fine but the second day he threw up and had a fever and then all this with his stomach started.

He needs stool investigations to determine if he has an infection, which would possibly require medications to clear up. If the diarrhea and emesis and fever continue, he will need to be seen by a Gastroenterologist for further testing.
