As long as it is not infected, no. He needs a wound vac and proper wound care. Consult Functional Medicine and Endocrinology.
HE NEEDS TO SEE HIS DOCTOR NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!
This requires immediate admission to the hospital as an emergency. If his bleeding is not controlled, he will require surgery again to control it.
In general terms, there is no need for it, but it is strongly recommended that you visit your surgeon as soon as possible.
What kind of bypass surgery? Heart or leg? Where is the incision?
It is hard to say without seeing the open wound and amount, but it is unlikely.
When was the surgery?
Must contact his surgeon and make him aware of the problem. Most likely, your dad will need wound cleaning and dressing by a home health nurse after the surgeon has seen the patient and instructed the nurse.
This is a loaded question. Was it just the skin that split open or did the wires break? Are you saying his chest wound opened up or the wounds in his legs? You should be specific in your questions, if you want an accurate response.
