My daughter has a rash

My daughter is 14. She just came in and showed me a rash on the front on her leg right above her foot/ankle. She said it doesn't hurt or itch. I've never seen anything like it. It looks almost like someone repeatedly slapped her. It's about 5 inches long and between 1-2 inches wide.

Your daughter might have a rash that looks like marks from slapping, but since it doesn’t hurt or itch, it could be one of these:

Petechiae: Small red or purple spots caused by tiny blood vessels breaking under the skin.
Bruise (Hematoma): A blood spot under the skin, often from pressure or minor injury.
Viral Rash: Some viruses cause rashes that don’t itch or hurt.
It's best to have a doctor check it to be sure what it is.

It’s probably erythema ab igne if she has had a heating pad there or some other heat source present at the site. If not you should see a board-certified dermatologist soon. That type of appearance can be vasculitis or vasculopathy which is important to have evaluated.
