My husband has bladder cancer is there a bladder replacement surgery?

My husband had a tumor removed. What are his options?

Male | 75 years old

It all depends on the stage and grade of the tumor. If he has superficial bladder cancer, this accounts for 80% and only needs removal and scraping without removal, but the bladder muscle invasive tumor requires chemotherapy followed by surgical removal. At that point, the substitutions available for bladder replacement are an ileal loop or a neobladder or a possible catheterizible stoma.
