My wife has abdominal pain and vomiting?

My wife has had pain in the solar plexus area with nausea, vomiting, for 5 days now. No fever, no other symptoms, and no trigger. She can't keep any solids down. I know "see a Dr.", next move. Just wondering, any ideas?

You should be seen by a physician ASAP, she needs to be examined if symptoms are still ongoing.
Abdominal pain with nausea and vomiting can be caused by gastroenteritis however it’s hard to know without a full evaluation. More serious causes need to be excluded like peptic ulcer disease with gastric outlet obstruction, intestinal obstruction(which can be caused by many conditions), and intussusception. The duration of 5 days indicates a trip to the emergency room as she will likely need evaluation with imaging like abdominal x-ray and ct-scan of the abdomen and pelvic.
Cannot give you a specific idea as to what is going on. There are so many possible explanations. It could be just an infection in the stomach or small intestine, since it is acute and only ongoing for 5 days.
