Neck pain and headache after water tubing?

I went water tubing yesterday. The tub flipped and I got hit by the other rider. We also hit a rough wave and that caused my head to jerk back a bit. I’ve had a headache and neck pain ever since that.

Greetings,

So, what I am hearing is: You suffered a head injury and a neck injury while tubing. Severity unknown. While this may be just a neck sprain with associated headache which may self resolve, you really want to rule out more serious issues. So, I would advise you go to the ER where they may consider doing a CT-Brain and a CT-Neck. Then, because this was probably lake or river water, the ER doc would want to ask you about any signs or symptoms of Amoebic Meningoencephalitis (Naegleria Fowleri), an infection. If they discharge you from the ER, you would want to follow closely with your family doctor or Primary Care Provider.

Sincerely,

Could be muscle spasm and strain. However, could be something more serious. Take analgesics and if not better in 24 hours, seek medical evaluation. If headache or neck pain worsen, then go immediately to the ER.
