OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions OB-GYN

Painful issue normal?

I had a tubal ligation on October 11, 2019, after my third and last baby. My periods have been happening around the 26-28th every month and last month I started my period on the 20th. I bled a few days longer than I normally do. I have recently started cramping so bad, I feel like I could cry some of the time, and I have really bad pains and cramps in my lower abdomen and butt pressure. What can this be?

Take motrin 600 mg q 8 hr with period. If no improvement, get birth control pills and check-up.
It is normal if you were on contraceptive pills before your tubal ligation. It will normalize in a few months.
Unlikely that it is related to your tubal ligation more than a year ago. Painful periods can happen due to fibroids, endometriosis etc, please see your OBGyn to get help.
