Phantom period?

As long as I've had my period, they've been very irregular, and I haven't had a period in over 6 months now, but the the last month or so I've been experiencing all of my usual period symptoms, i.e. cramping, bloating, back pain, and emotional instability all of the time. The pain fluctuates but it's always there and it's become really difficult to function normally with the constant pain and discomfort.
This isn't the first time I've had this "phantom period" issue, but it's lasting much longer than it ever has and I'm extremely worried about it. I've taken pregnancy tests and they always come back negative, so I'm fairly sure I'm not pregnant.
I have no real medical history, as I haven't seen any doctors outside of the E.R. since I was a small child, and I'm not on any medications.

Hello. I can see how this would be concerning and would recommend a consult with your doctor considering your irregular cycles and your age. A number of factors must be considered and properly assessed.
