OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions Plan B

Plan B pill?

The last first day of my menstrual period was March 17. I had unprotected sex on March 31 and April 4th. I took the morning after pill on April 1st and another one on April 4th. I got light bleeding on April 10th for 3 days. I was not a spotting but was not heavy either. My regular period was supposed to start yesterday I believe. I am having all these sensations as if my period is about to start for about a week and some mucus. Pregnancy tests are negative. Is this normal?

It's pretty common to have irregular bleeding after plan B, especially after 2 doses. If pregnancy tests are negative then you can monitor for now – it may cause less stress for you if you consider a more effective long-term contraceptive method than plan B.
Yes, taking plan B can throw your cycle to be either earlier or later. Also, it's 85% effective. It moves your ovulation if it didn't happen yet, so it happens later and if sperm is around later if you ovulated you can still get pregnant in the same cycle. So at this point, I would just wait for a period. You can also do a pregnancy test via blood- quantitative bhcg.
