OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions OB-GYN

Prolong period?

I've been having my period for 12 days so I took medroxyne progesterone for 5 days. I thought it was going to stop my period but I bled again.

Taking the provera and stopping made you have what’s called a withdrawal bleed. So sorry this is happening to you. Please speak to your gynecologist about your options to help you stop bleeding
Progesterone is going to work only when you are taking it, your bleeding will resume again. You need to cycle with birth control pills to regulate your period. Hope you have seen a OBGyn already and had a work up for the reason for your bleeding.
Take care and stay safe!
You need to follow up with your OBGYN that gave you the medroxy progesterone. You need to usually take it longer than that for 10 days and it should slow your bleeding.

You may have an ovarian cyst, hormone issues, and if you are sexually active without protection, you may have an abnormal pregnancy! Get checked out if it doesn’t stop!
