Protein in urine?

I have 2+ protein in urine after a urine test and have been noticing signs like frequent urinating and foamy urine. But I also took kidney function test for creatinine it was ok (1.0) and BUN (20) , what could be the cause of the problem.

The two most common causes of proteinuria are diabetes and high blood pressure. Other conditions that result from a more serious causes are immune disorders such as lupus, and kidney inflammation. Thank you.
You may want to see if you are receiving too much medicine for your ulcer. The urine needs to be completely examined. A cystoscopy may be in order.
