Prozac prescription?

I was recently prescribed Prozac and I am afraid to start taking it. Is it hard to stop taking once you start? I plan on trying to conceive in a couple of years. I am scared of how Prozac will affect me. I literally am terrified and have ridiculous thoughts of it like ruining my life. I thought the prescription was kind of extreme for me. But I don’t know what extreme Prozac really is if that makes sense. I do not have a history of addiction, but don’t want to start if you know what I mean.

I no longer prescribe Prozac or any other SSRI. Side effects your doctor will not mention include suicidal thoughts (and attempts), violence, and a strange psychotic mania. The SSRI's increase serotonin for only 3 weeks. After that there is a permanent reduction in serotonin AND a 40% reduction in serotonin receptor sites. I test for neurotransmitters. Yes, that can be done. Then I recommend the amino acid that is the precursor to that neurotransmitter. If you are depressed and have impaired memory and concentration, you probably have a norepinephrine deficiency. L-tyrosine is the nutrient that turns into norepinephrine when taken with P5P, the active form of vitamin B6.
