Quarantine before surgery?

I want to go on vacation but my husband needs to have hand surgery. Does he need to quarantine before surgery?

I don't think so, but follow the facility's protocols.
Good day to you and your family.

There is no need for quarantine. However, it is very important to avoid any unnecessary activities/meetings, the risk of contamination is always there. Taking all precautions for avoiding any risk is important, as well as family members to do so. Incubation for Covid-19 is about 5-14 days, and it could be very risky for the outcome of surgery and for his overall health status.
Good luck for you all and stay safe!

Thanks for the question. No quarantine, but he will need to have a negative COVID test taken within 3 days of the surgery.

No. He should continue doing his safe activities and will require a covid test one or two days prior to surgery. The surgeon should arrange for the test
