Lose weight, and change your diet. Consult Functional Medicine, Orthopaedic spine surgeon and start Acupuncture with Moxibustion.
Best initial therapy is physical therapy. Strengthen the muscles around the joints in the back and abdomen actually ("core") to support the joints. The discs are essentially cushions between the joint spaces created by the vertebrae. We can't slap a brace around the spine unfortunately like a bulging knee but the idea is still the same. Support the joint. So strength training, and weight loss if that is feasible. The goal is to reduce pressure on the disc so they don't bulge, and the muscles will help distribute the weight once your core is stronger. It takes time to get a bad back and it takes time to fix it but it's doable!
