Question about STD?

A year ago my partner was suspicious that she had gotten herpes 2 from her previous relationship. However, in July I tested and tested negative. She then tested in October and got a negative. However, and this is weird, for some reason I tested positive two weeks ago (Jan 7th, 2022) and my partner and I were both thinking that this was a false positive. What do you think?

Based on what you described, it is hard to give you a straight answer to your current concerns. Yet, how to get adequate medical care may not be that hard if following adequate history-taking, having an adequate physical examination, conducting reasonable tests, and following personal lifestyle precautions. To do so, please view the post about What Should You Do When You Feel And Become Sick? at https://www.foralm.com/post/www-foralm-com-what-should-you-do-when-you-feel-and-become-sick. Yes, your positive result could be a false positive, and an easy way to remedy that is just get it re-checked. Otherwise, it’s also possible that you are herpes simplex virus type 2 positive and have the antibodies from a previously asymptomatic infection.
