Question regarding total testosterone?

I noticed many of the studies regarding the mean/average Total Testosterone level per age varies from study to study.

My current Total Testosterone level (tested with LetsGetChecked home kit), was 476 ng/dl. I know this is within the ‘normal range’ but my confusion comes when I look up the mean for my age (23) and some studies say the mean/average for my age is around 500 and others say around 650, etc…

On top of that, some studies say the average for an 80-year-old man is about 475…I know I’m within the healthy range and testosterone fluctuates, but should I be concerned? What studies are the most accurate?

Testosterone is like gas in a car! If the car has gas, it will run perfect whether you have a full or quarter tank. If your “T” level is in the normal range, all the receptors are covered and everything works well. A free testosterone is the better test to obtain to prove you have enough testosterone available in the blood stream.
