Radiology?

I would like to know what this means, please?
1.) Total mAs: 2,231
2.) Total DLP: 517 mGycm

Also, how much radiation should a human be exposed to when getting x-rays done? How much radiation in a year should a human be exposed to? Is an exposure time of 500, an x-ray tube 596, and exposure 298, are these good values?

The only datum listed that refers to radiation dose is DLP: 517 mGycm, but does not directly refer to the effective dose. Presuming you had a chest CT, a DLP of 517 seems pretty "good."

There is a principle in radiology (imaging and not necessarily therapy) of ALARA. That acronym, initially referring to pediatric radiology, is applicable to all radiation based studies in all patients (https://www.acr.org/Advocacy-and-Economics/ACR-Position-Statements/FDA-Radiation-Reduction-Program)

See the following:
https://radiopaedia.org/articles/dose-length-product?lang=us#:~:text=Dose%20length%20product%20(DLP)%20measured,long%20axis%20of%20the%20patient).
This is a typical dose for a diagnostic CT. As a general rule, imaging should be done wisely and gently. CT is a powerful and safe tool. Imaging with radiation should always be performed after considering the value of the information obtained and the alternatives available.
