Physical Strain Excessive physical exertion or activities that strain the head and neck area can put pressure on the blood vessels, leading to a bulging vein in the temple. Blood Pressure Changes Fluctuations in blood pressure, particularly sudden increases, can cause the blood vessels in the temple area to dilate and become more prominent. Vascular Conditions Certain vascular conditions, such as arteriovenous malformation or temporal arteritis, can affect the blood vessels in the temple and contribute to a bulging vein. These are just a few examples of the possible causes of a sudden bulging vein in the temple. It is essential to consult with a healthcare professional for a comprehensive evaluation to identify the specific cause and appropriate treatment plan.
A raised vein in the Right temple, especially when accompanied by pressure or discomfort, can have several potential explanations. At age 64, and given that it's a new and persistent symptom, it's important not to ignore it. Here are some possibilities.
Raised veins at the temple occurs with age. It may be a sign of stress. It is of no concern actually.
