Liver-related skin problems – Cirrhosis can cause red spots, rashes, or tiny blood vessels showing on the skin.
Swelling in the legs – This can make the skin irritated and itchy.
Poor blood flow – The liver helps with circulation, and when it’s damaged, the skin can react.
Infection – Cirrhosis weakens the immune system, so infections are more likely.
Allergy – It could be a reaction to medicines, food, or something touching the skin.
What to do:
Moisturize the skin to stop dryness and itching.
Don’t scratch to avoid infection.
Check for infection (warm, painful, pus-filled rash).
See a doctor soon if the rash gets worse, spreads, or if he has swelling, yellow skin, or confusion (these could be serious).
