“Red mole being removed from my back and sent for tests. What kind of tests will be done?”
I have an odd reddish mole on my lower back. My dermatologist wants to remove it and then send it for testing. What kinds of tests would be done on this mole and what types of conditions would the tests be looking for?

The mole would be sent to pathology lab where they would take the tissue and look at it under microscope to look for cancerous cells vs benign cells. Cancerous conditions such as, melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell, etc.
Histopathology testing for possible BCC, SCC or Melanoma!!
