“Sensitive throat, hypersensitive gagging reflex?”
I've got a condition that affects my whole life. My throat is really sensitive for almost everything.
- when I put eg. a small wound patch on it,
- the wind hits it during a car ride through the window,
- if I wear clothes that have a tight- or turtle neck,
- wear a scarf,
- tilt my head upward for a bit longer period of time,
- if I'm full after a meal,
- if someone touches it,
- sometimes when I yawn big,
- I'm in specific body positions,
I'm starting to gag like I have to throw up.
It's really rare, but sometimes it also happens when one of my pants touches the lower part of my abs.
I'm seeking help in order to 'cure' myself out of this state, it affects my life too much. Someone said It's only a mental problem, my opinion is different. It occurs a lot of times when I feel good and have nothing to worry about. Even my dentist sent me home because he can't treat me like this, I can't protect my neck during cold weather, and so on.
I just need to start somewhere to find out what is the answer for this condition, and how can I treat it long-term.
