I have depression. Should I consult a psychiatrist or psychologist for depression?

You could definitely consider both if you want medications and are interested in psychotherapy.
I would recommend both. A psychiatrist will be able to prescribe an antidepressant if they feel it would help and a psychologist would help with CBT and / or other therapy. You will typically have a better outcome using this method.
