Should I get my kidney stones removed?

I was diagnosed with kidney stones. Should I get my kidney stones removed?

Only have them remove if there is evidence urinary obstruction , pain, frequent urine infections, blood in urine or worsening kidney functions.
It is uncommon to require non-obstructive kidney stones removed. One rare case is when a patient has a solitary transplanted kidney. There are other potential indications, such as an infection, so please discuss with your nephrologist or urologist.
