Yes, psychiatrists help with anxiety especially if you have a diagnosis already and to keep with regular medication changes. Other clinicians such as nurse practitioners, licensed therapists, case managers and doctors are very integral in the process of helping with anxiety and helping to manage the symptom severity and checking in how medications and diagnoses are doing and related anxiety disorders as well. Hope this helps as always, wishing you well.

A psychiatrist is educated and trained to treat anxiety.
That is based on your needs. If you feel that medication may be needed, a psychiatrist will be beneficial. If you are seeking therapeutic services (individual/group therapy), you would want to seek out a psychologist or masters level clinician.
I would suggest a consultation with a psychologist first. There are many anxiety management strategies that do not involve medication. The psychologist will assess the necessity for medication referral. Best Wishes.
Depending on whether you were prescribed medication or not…
I'd recommend a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

A psychiatrist could be helpful for your anxiety.
Yes. I suggest that you go to a mental health professional to treat your anxiety disorder. If left untreated cause more long team mental and physical conditions.
