“Should I take my son to the ER?”
My son got into a fight in school 4 days ago and says his hands have been hurting ever since. He thinks it's broken but his hands not swollen and he can still move his fingers should I take him to the ER?

Boxer's fractures or injury to joint, growth plate are common after fights. If it looks deformed, is very tender to touch even if not swollen, then the safest treatment is to have an exam and radiograph.

If you are concerned, having him get an X-ray wouldn’t be a bad idea, mostly though he is probably bruised.
