“Should I wait to see if it resolves? Or go to the ER?”
I am having the following symptoms: malaise, Uti like pain x72 hours, burning during urination, upper lumbar/lower thoracic pain in back developed, Urinary symptoms resolved on third day. Back pain worsening, now wrapping around ribs as well as abdominal tenderness across entire abdomen. Is this an emergency? No fever, or viral like symptoms.

You quite possibly have a urinary tract infection spreading to your kidneys. We call this pyelonephritis. I strongly advise you to go to see a provider and be tested for confirmation, and receive antibiotics if necessary.
