Swollen hands?

Both my hands are swelling since I started my new job washing dishes at a seafood restaurant, they often have been going numb.

You may have an allergy to seafood. Other conditions may need to be evaluated as well. Try using gloves and if it continues then see your primary and get some testing done.
The most common nerve-related problem in people who use their hands repetitively is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. This is nerve irritation at the wrist. It can cause numbness and tingling in the hand, especially the thumb and first 2 fingers. Swelling tends to occur mostly during sleep and upon awakening. A neurologist or orthopedic surgeon are the ones who usually deal with the problem. But seeing your primary care provider would be appropriate to make sure it isn’t something else, and to recommend a nonsurgical treatment.
