“Temporary blindness for 7mins”
I was driving today and my right eye vision just went completely black for 7mins?

This is concerning for a condition called amaurosis fugax. It could mean that there was a stroke in your eye. There could be other reasons too which would be able too be determined with an examination. Please see an eye specialist as soon as possible so that you can be examined and determine what is the next step.
Hello. This seems like a serious symptom. We call this amarosis fugax. This can be a sign of many things but most worrisome would be a blockage of an artery in your eye or some other interruption in blood flow to your eye. This can be easily seen by an ophthalmologist on exam or even a retinal specialist. I would recommend getting an evaluation as soon as possible.

When one loses total vision in an eye for a few minutes tests are done to rule out carotid artery disease, cardiac valvular disease and blood disorders. A physical exam and blood tests are necessary to make a diagnosis.
