This is a serious problem- the surgeon and maybe the infectious disease specialists need to address the abscess immediately.
This can be serious.
Go see a GI specialist
This can be Candida overgrowth. Consult Functional Medicine and a Naturopath.
This is best answered by your treating physicians. Please take care of this so you can heal it all the way.
The abscess is almost certainly the cause of the ileus. The abscess needs prompt and effective therapy!
Hello,

Small bowel ileus can be secondary to many things, but is self-limiting. It can happen in the setting of illness (pneumonia, UTI), intra-abdominal infection, or post-surgery. It should resolve with bowel rest, and ambulation. If there is an abscess, it should be drained if accessible, or treated with antibiotics promptly.

I hope you have a speedy recovery!
Ileus of the bowel is a temporary event and not a problem, the abscess most likely was a contributing factor and with it resolved the ileus should improve.
An ileus usually resolves with time and only conservative, supportive management. Any underlying issue (such as the abscess) that could have led to the ileus should be addressed by your doctors. Ileus is not usually dangerous but can be slow to improve.
