“Vitamin D3?”
I also have a chronic illness that is lowering this or is affecting it. Is it okay to take 5,000 of Vitamin D3 every day?

Yes. After you are taking vitamin D three for several months, you should have it rechecked, along with calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and a basic chemistry panel. Bare minimum. Thank you for your question and I hope I was able to be of service.
